 Scientists are explorers. Earth Science Explorer helps your students become explorers too. Scientists explore by observing natural phenomena, studying data, experimenting, and forming and testing hypotheses. Their exploration rarely follows a straight path, but it is organized.

This module works the same way. Think of it like a museum. Different floors contain information grouped according to topics. Visitors are free to explore and choose that which is relevant to their search. Earth Science Explorer has two floors. The Earth floor presents Earth science fundamentals, such as cycles, spheres, and geologic time. The Dinosaur floor examines dinosaur extinction and some of the hypotheses that might explain it. In order to understand the complexity of the topic, your students might need to explore more than one hypothesis. How many they explore is up to you.
