CERATOPS
The
"horned faced" Triceratops and Torosaurus
are often pictured in a fight with a Tyrannosaurus
rex. Fossils of these dinosaurs have been
found from Mexico to Canada in North America.
They do not appear to have lived on the other
continents. Fossils of the "horned faced"
dinosaurs measure from 5 to 30 feet in length.
A Triceratops would have been a very powerful
animal. It would have been able to defend
itself with its long horns and powerful body.
The "horned faced" dinosaurs were ornithischian
plant eaters which lived in the Cretaceous
Era.
