Wow!
This is a colorful picture! This is a Shuttle radar image of a patch of
rock about 14 by 17 miles in size in the middle of the Sahara Desert.
The colors are not real (it is radar after all - can you see in radar?),
but are "false colors" chosen to make patterns in the rocks stand out.
